reports that some of the Barcelona players are not happy with their manager as they have started questioning his approach and decision-making. A section of the squad is also reportedly feeling hard done by their head coach, although, Xavi believes he still has the full support of his players.

The friction within the team reportedly started after the match against Almeria in December where the club somehow managed to pick up a narrow 3-2 win. The former Al-Sadd coach delivered his harshest team talk at half-time of that match which did not go down well with some of the players.

Despite losing the faith of a section of the team, Xavi continues to enjoy the support of sporting director Deco and club president Joan Laporta who believe in his abilities despite the team's inconsistent performances in the current season. Manchester City coach and Xavi's former manager at the Catalan club, Pep Guardiola recently sent a supportive message for the entire team including the coach after they suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat at the hands of rivals Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final.

WHAT NEXT FOR XAVI?
Earlier in the season, the former Blaugrana captain signed a new deal which will keep him at the club until 2025. Yet it may be difficult for the club to remove the manager before his contract expires, considering their financial constraints.
